This Privacy Policy explains how Alivio Search Partners (“Alivio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with aliviosearch.com and any related subdomains, pages, forms, and portals (collectively, the “Site”), and in the course of providing our recruiting and talent-acquisition services (the “Services”). It also describes the rights and choices available to individuals whose personal information we process.

By using the Site or the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site or submit information to us.

1. Who we are

Alivio Search Partners is a recruiting and talent-acquisition firm located at 297 Cook Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10701, United States. For privacy inquiries, you can reach us at hello@aliviosearch.com or 914-230-0850. Alivio is the “controller” (or “business,” as applicable) responsible for the personal information described in this Policy, except where we act as a service provider or processor on behalf of a client, as described in Section 9.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information we process about:

  • Prospective and current clients and their representatives who contact us, request information, book a call, complete our recruiting scorecard, or request a hiring plan;
  • Candidates and applicants who apply to roles, join our talent network, or otherwise share their information with us for recruiting purposes;
  • Site visitors who browse the Site or interact with our content.

This Policy does not apply to the privacy practices of third parties we do not control, including the websites of our clients or the third-party tools linked from the Site.

3. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers and contact data: name, email address, telephone number, company or organization, and job title.
  • Professional and employment information: resume/CV contents, work history, education, skills, certifications, compensation expectations, work authorization or eligibility (where relevant and permitted by law), references, and other details you choose to include when applying or engaging with us.
  • Hiring and recruiting inputs: the details you provide about your hiring needs, roles, timelines, budgets, and responses to our scorecard or hiring-plan tools.
  • Communications: the content of emails, messages, form submissions, and notes from calls or meetings with us.
  • Usage and device data: IP address, browser type and settings, device identifiers, operating system, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, and dates/times of access, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).

We do not intentionally collect special categories of data (such as health, race, or religion) through the Site, and we ask that you not submit such information unless we specifically request it for a lawful, disclosed purpose.

4. How we collect information

  • Directly from you when you complete a form, book a call, apply to a role, email us, or otherwise communicate with us.
  • Automatically as you interact with the Site, through cookies, analytics, and server logs.
  • From third parties, such as our clients (who may refer you to us), professional networks and public profiles (e.g., LinkedIn), references you provide, and background- or credential-verification providers where you have consented and the law permits.

5. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide the Services you or our clients request;
  • Match candidates with roles, evaluate applications, coordinate interviews, and present qualified candidates to clients;
  • Generate scorecard results, hiring plans, and other requested deliverables;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, personalize, and improve the Site and Services;
  • Communicate with you, including sending administrative messages and — where permitted — relevant updates you may opt out of at any time;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, and misuse;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements and policies.

Legal bases (EEA/UK). Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent; the performance of a contract (or steps taken at your request before entering one); our legitimate interests in operating and growing our business (balanced against your rights); and compliance with legal obligations.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our analytics providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where offered, our cookie controls. Disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where legally required.

7. Analytics and advertising

We use privacy-conscious analytics tools to measure Site performance and aggregate usage. These tools may set cookies or collect usage data as described above. We do not use the Site to serve interest-based advertising that involves selling your personal information.

8. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:

  • Service providers / processors: vendors that host the Site and store data, provide scheduling and calendaring, send transactional email and notifications, and provide analytics. They are permitted to use personal information only to perform services for us under contract.
  • Clients and candidates: in the ordinary course of recruiting, we share relevant candidate information with the prospective employer client for a given role, and share role and process information with candidates. We share such information consistent with the purpose for which it was provided.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Alivio, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
  • With your direction or consent: when you ask us to share your information or otherwise agree.

9. When we act on behalf of clients

When we process candidate information to deliver recruiting services to a client, we may act as that client's service provider or processor. In those cases, our processing is governed by our agreement with the client, and the client's own privacy notice may also apply. If you have questions about a specific client's practices, we can help direct your request appropriately.

10. International data transfers

We are based in the United States and work with talent and clients across the United States and Latin America. Where we transfer personal information across borders, including from the EEA or UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism where required.

11. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy — including providing the Services, maintaining candidate relationships, and considering candidates for current and future roles — and thereafter as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it using reasonable measures. You may ask us to remove you from our talent network at any time (see Section 13).

12. Data security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately.

13. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access / know: to request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, and how we use and share it.
  • Correction: to request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Deletion: to request that we delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Portability: to receive a copy of certain information in a portable format.
  • Opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, but you may still direct us not to.
  • Limit use of sensitive information; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and object to or restrict certain processing, where the law provides these rights.
  • Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). The categories of personal information we collect, use, and disclose are described in Sections 3, 5, and 8. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. You may exercise your rights, including through an authorized agent, and you may appeal a decision by contacting us. We will verify your request before acting on it.

EEA/UK residents. You may exercise the rights described above under the GDPR/UK GDPR, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

How to exercise your rights. Email hello@aliviosearch.com or call 914-230-0850. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us. We may still send you non-promotional, transactional communications about the Services you have requested.

15. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites and tools (for example, our scheduling provider). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.

16. Children's privacy

The Site and Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
