Design and own high-throughput backend services powering a regulated payments platform
Lead the migration from single-region infrastructure to a resilient multi-region architecture
Set standards for observability, testing, and incident response across the platform team
Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews and pairing
Partner with product and security to ship a roadmap already committed to customers
Requirements & Qualifications
8+ years building production backend systems in Go, Rust, or Java
Direct experience with distributed systems and multi-region data consistency
Background in payments, fintech, or another regulated, high-reliability domain
Track record of taking services from design through on-call ownership
Strong written communication for a remote-first engineering culture
